Tech Lead - Backend

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Tech Lead - Backend to join their team and lead the development of scalable, secure, and Al-powered backend systems.

You will architect robust backend solutions, mentor engineers, and build intelligent services that power next-generation Al applications.

Broad Areas of Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable <> backend services and APIs.
  • Build microservices and event-driven architectures for Al-powered applications.
  • API Develop secure and performant RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and monitoring.
  • Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) from providers such as OpenAl, Anthropic, Google, or open-source models.
  • Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
  • Design and maintain vector search and semantic retrieval systems.
  • Develop Al agent orchestration workflows and tool integrations.
  • Optimize inference latency, throughput, and operational costs.
  • Design efficient database schemas and data pipelines.
  • Manage structured and unstructured data used by Al systems.
  • Implement caching, queueing, and asynchronous processing workflows.
  • Build observability, logging, and monitoring solutions for Al services.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years solid industry experience. Ability to lead and mentor junior team members, and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Data Science, Machine Learning, or Generative Al certification from recognized platforms.
  • Experience building Al-native or LLM-powered applications.
  • Experience with: LangGraph, LangChain, Model Context Protocol (MCP)

Technical Skills

  • Backend: Python/FastAPI, Java, REST APIs, WebSockets
  • Al & LLMs: OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, Embeddings, RAG, Al Agents.

Work Shift: (SL/IST TIME) Straddle 3:00 PM - 12:00 PM
Work Week: Monday to Friday
