
DevOps Engineer
Job Description
Our client, a leading and well-established organization with a strong market presence, is seeking an experienced and technically proficient DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, monitoring, and release governance. The role will play a critical part in ensuring high platform availability, secure and reliable deployments, operational excellence, and continuous cloud infrastructure optimization across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud environments
- Manage cloud resources, networks, security storage, and backups.
- Implement performance tuning and support disaster recovery
Kubernetes Administration (AKS & GKE)
- Manage AKS and GKE cksters, upgrades and Recycle management.
- Configure ingress, load balancing and autoscaling
- Implement Kubernetes security best praction
DevOps & CI/CD Management
- Administer Azure DevOps repositories and YAML pipelines.
- Manage branching, build validations and release automation
- Support self-hosted build and deployment agents
Release Governance & Deployment Assurance
- Establish release governance standards and approval workflows.
- Coordinate production and non-productions
- Maintain audit trails and conduct post-release validation
DevSecOps & Security
- Implement secure DevOps practices across the SDLC
- Manage SonarQube, SAST, container and dependency scanning
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and enforce security gates
Monitoring & Incident Management
- Configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application insights.
- Develop dashboards and alerting mechanisms.
- Manage incident investigation RCA and resolution of critical outages.
FinOps & Cost Optimization
- Monitor cloud expenditure across Azure and Google Cloud
- Identify rightsizing and optimization opportunities.
- Recommend Reserved instances and produce cost reports.
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain architecture documentation, runbooks and SOPs.
- Ensure DR documentation is current and support audits.
Recovery & Business Continuity
- Coordinate DR exercises and validate RTC/RPO
- Manage backup restoration testing
- Produce DR reports and improvement recommendations
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- 99% platform availability maintained
- SLA compliance of 95% or above
- Critical incident response within 30 minutes
- Successful deployment rate above 98%
- Zero critical security vulnerabilities unresolved
- Quarterly disaster recovery test completion
- Monthly cloud cost optimization targets achieved 100% release governance compliance
- Timely completion of operational and governance reports
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations. or Site Reliablity Engineering.
- Hands-on experience managing production Microsoft Azure environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms (AKS and/or GKE)
- Proven experience with CVCD and DevOps platforms.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps frameworks.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, monitoring, DR and FinOps
Certifications (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305)
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500)
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer
