Terms of Use
Last updated: 05/09/2026
1. Introduction
By accessing or using ITPro.lk, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from using our website.
2. Use of the Website
- ITPro.lk is a free job board dedicated to IT and technology-related opportunities in Sri Lanka.
- You may browse job listings, apply for jobs, and post job advertisements in accordance with these Terms.
- Misuse of the platform, including but not limited to spam, fraudulent or misleading job postings, discriminatory content, or attempts to exploit users, is strictly prohibited.
3. Hiring Company Requirements
- ITPro.lk is an inclusive platform and welcomes employers of all sizes, industries, and locations, as well as individuals hiring for legitimate IT and technology-related positions. The primary requirement is that the position must be available for candidates who can work in Sri Lanka.
- We strongly recommend that employers use a corporate email address when publishing job advertisements. In certain cases, ITPro.lk may request additional information from an employer to verify the legitimacy of the company, individual, or job opportunity.
- ITPro.lk reserves the right to decline, moderate, or remove job advertisements where we are unable to reasonably verify the legitimacy of the employer or opportunity.
4. Job Posting Quality Standards
Employers and recruiters must provide accurate, lawful, and non-discriminatory job listings. All job ads must be directly relevant to IT, software, technology, or related fields in Sri Lanka.
ITPro.lk uses both automated and manual moderation to ensure the quality and integrity of job advertisements. The following rules apply:
- Job Titles must contain only the job designation. Avoid adding details like location, pay, or shifts. These belong in the job description. Promotional text, marketing phrases, calls to action (e.g., “Apply Now”, “Urgent Hiring”), or unnecessary wording will be removed.
- Job Descriptions must be clear and properly formatted. Avoid spam-like content, like all caps and extra punctuation. We do not rewrite or alter content unless formatting issues affect readability. The original message from the recruiter is preserved as much as possible.
- Job advertisements must be written in English. ITPro.lk operates primarily in English and is not a multilingual platform. Posts submitted in other languages will not be accepted.
- Each job ad must represent a single position. Posting multiple roles within one advertisement is not allowed.
- If your job advertisement uses an external application URL, the link must direct the applicant to the specific job’s dedicated application page or form — not a general careers page, homepage, or multi-position listing.
- Discriminatory content is prohibited. This includes restrictions based on age, gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or any other protected characteristic.
- Duplicate job postings are not allowed. If you wish to continue hiring for the same position, please use the Republish option. Alternatively, you may remove the old advertisement before posting a new one.
- Attempts to bypass this policy—including using altered wording, coded language, or other methods to repost the same role—may result in the job being moderated or removed.
- Including email addresses or external links within the job description is discouraged. ITPro.lk provides built-in application tools and a dedicated external application URL option for this purpose. Please use these features to ensure a consistent and secure experience for applicants.
- ITPro.lk may adjust the job category, type and location if they have been incorrectly selected.
- We reserve the right to edit, disable, or remove any job posting that violates our guidelines or applicable laws, or if it is deemed inappropriate, misleading, or harmful to job seekers.
By submitting a job listing, employers agree to follow these guidelines and acknowledge that non-compliant listings may be moderated or removed without prior notice.
