QA Engineer

About the Role

At MO Marketplace, we are scaling a high-frequency digital ecosystem. We are looking for a QA Engineer to act as our "Release Guard." You will be responsible for ensuring that every update to our mobile and web platforms is seamless, bug-free, and optimized for a world-class user experience.

This is a high-impact role where you will work directly with the product and engineering teams to maintain the stability of Sri Lanka’s fastest-growing circular economy platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Release Validation: Perform rigorous testing of mobile and web flows before every deployment.
  • Test Strategy: Develop and maintain comprehensive regression checklists and test suites.
  • API Testing: Conduct thorough API testing to ensure backend-to-frontend integrity.
  • Bug Lifecycle Management: Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution, collaborating closely with developers.
  • Performance Monitoring: Maintain detailed release logs and track monthly regression trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • UAT Support: Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to align platform functionality with customer needs.

Technical Requirements

  • Experience: 1–3 years in Software Quality Assurance (Web & Mobile).
  • Tools: Proficiency in Postman (or similar API testing tools) and bug-tracking software.
  • Testing Types: Strong experience in Functional, Smoke, Regression, and Integration testing.
  • Documentation: Exceptional ability to write clear, concise test cases and bug reports.
  • Methodology: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development cycles.
