Overview
MO Marketplace is pioneering Sri Lanka's first all-in-one preloved marketplace app, championing the concept of circular consumption. With over 10,000 active listings and innovative features such as MO Coins and MO Designer, we are rapidly scaling our operations. To drive our product development forward, we are seeking a dynamic technical leader to join our team.

Role Overview
We are in search of an experienced Full Stack Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of expertise in Flutter, Next.js, and PostgreSQL. In this hands-on role, you will lead the complete development lifecycle of our mobile app and web platform. Collaborating closely with our design and operations teams, you will create scalable, high-performing, and user-friendly features that cater to thousands of users.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the MO Marketplace mobile app using Flutter for both Android and iOS platforms, alongside our Next.js web solution.
  • Design, optimize, and manage PostgreSQL databases to ensure performance and scalability.
  • Lead the end-to-end development of our e-commerce website, including the integration of payment gateways, shopping cart systems, and content management solutions.
  • Architect and implement robust APIs, manage efficient state operations, and create responsive user interfaces to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver seamless, engaging user experiences.
  • Mentor junior developers, fostering their growth and establishing engineering best practices within the team.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and security throughout the technology stack.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack or cross-platform mobile development.
  • Strong proficiency in Flutter & Dart for mobile app development.
  • Familiarity with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and e-commerce web development practices.
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and scalability strategies.
  • Experience in developing e-commerce, marketplace, or consumer-facing applications is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to delivering clean, maintainable code.
