Mobile & Backend Integration Engineer

MO Marketplace (operated by Mammaskin Private Limited) is Sri Lanka's peer-to-peer mobile commerce platform Buy. Sell. Sri Lankan. Live on the App Store and Google Play since June 2024, we have 45,000+ downloads, 14,000 registered users, and a 4.5-star rating. We are growing fast and looking for a sharp engineer to own our external integrations and data pipeline.

About the role

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on integrating MO's backend and mobile app with third-party platforms starting with our Meta (Facebook/Instagram) product catalogue feed, deep linking, and conversion tracking. You will work closely with our Tech Lead Anjana to build the infrastructure that powers our performance marketing, and with our Digital Marketing hire to ensure the data pipeline supports live campaign needs.

What you will own

Meta Commerce Manager product catalogue feed - build and maintain a live JSON/XML endpoint that auto-updates as listings are created, sold, or removed

Deep link infrastructure - Meta Pixel and App Events -

Meta Conversions API (CAPI) - Firebase App Events - configure and maintain event mapping between Firebase and Meta Events Manager

Google product category mapping, Google Ads feed extend the same catalogue infrastructure to support Google Shopping / Performance Max feeds

Catalogue automation, ensure availability flips to 'out of stock' in the feed within minutes of a listing being sold or removed

UTM and attribution,

What you need to have done before

Built or maintained a Meta Product Catalogue feed (JSON or XML) for an ecommerce or marketplace platform

Implemented Firebase Dynamic Links or equivalent deferred deep linking on both iOS and Android

Set up Meta Pixel and App Events, including ViewContent and Purchase events passing content_id

Integrated Meta Conversions API (server-side) for signal recovery

Worked with REST APIs and built dynamic JSON endpoints in a backend language (Node.js, Python, or similar)

Experience with Google Shopping or Performance Max product feeds is a strong plus

Mobile development experience (Flutter, React Native, or native iOS/Android) preferred but not required
