AI - Backend Engineer

HRC Labs is looking for an AI – Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative healthcare technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build microservices and event-driven architectures for Al-powered applications
• Develop secure and performant RESTful and/or GraphQL AP
• Implement authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and monitoring.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLM) from providers such as OpenAl, Anthropic, Google, or open-source models
• Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Design and maintain vector search and semantic retrieval systems.
• Develop Al agent orchestration workflows and tool integrations
• Optimize inference latency, throughput, and operational costs.
• Design efficient database schemas and data pipelines
• Manage structured and unstructured data used by Al systems
• Implement caching, queueing, and asynchronous processing workflows
• Build observability, logging, and monitoring solutions for Al services

Qualifications/Criteria:

• 3+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Nodejs, Go, Java, or similar backend languages.
• Experience designing and building production APIs Strong knowledge of databases:
• PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases 
• Redis or caching systems
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, CCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration 
• Docker and Kubernetes (preferred]
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and system design
• Experience with CVCD and automated testing. Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, and validate backend data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Experience with vector databases.
