About the Role

Residue Solutions (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Data Analyst to join our growing team. The successful candidate will collect, analyse, and interpret business data to identify trends, measure performance, and provide actionable insights. You will collaborate with management, technical teams, and other stakeholders to develop reports, dashboards, and data-driven recommendations that support strategic and operational decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL for retrieving, filtering, and analysing data.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or a similar business intelligence platform.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or R for data analysis is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of data cleaning, validation, modelling, and visualization.
  • Ability to analyse business processes and convert business requirements into data solutions.
  • Familiarity with key performance indicators, forecasting, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Previous experience or a strong portfolio in business or data analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, validate, and analyse data from multiple business sources.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance-tracking tools.
  • Identify business trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators across business functions.
  • Translate business requirements into reports, queries, and analytical solutions.
  • Prepare data-driven recommendations to support management decisions.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and present findings clearly and accurately.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, operational planning, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, confidentiality, and integrity of business data.
  • Document data sources, report definitions, and analytical processes.
  • Continuously improve reporting workflows and data analysis practices.
