About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Business Data Analyst Intern to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an undergraduate or fresh graduate who is interested in business intelligence, data analysis, reporting, and turning data into meaningful business insights. As a Business Data Analyst Intern, you will work closely with business and technical teams to collect, clean, analyze, and visualize data. You will gain practical experience working with real-world business data and supporting data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn data analytics tools and business processes.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/HND/diploma in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, filtering, sorting, and data organization.
  • Understanding of data analysis concepts such as data cleaning, aggregation, trends, and KPIs.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar analytics tools will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, organize, and validate business data from different sources.
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
  • Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and data summaries for internal teams.
  • Assist in developing and tracking business KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Write basic SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from databases.
  • Support senior analysts and business teams with data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify data quality issues and assist in resolving inconsistencies.
  • Document analysis results, processes, and findings clearly.
