About the Role

Residue Solutions (Pvt) Ltd is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Software Engineer to join our growing technology team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions while providing technical guidance to other developers. You will work closely with product teams, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable applications and contribute to architectural decisions throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least four years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, NestJS,
  • Express.js, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong experience with React, Next.js, or another modern frontend framework.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture.
  • Experience with Git, code reviews, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of application security, performance optimization, and scalable system design.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience mentoring developers or leading technical projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications.
  • Make technical and architectural decisions aligned with business requirements.
  • Develop secure and high-performance frontend and backend components.
  • Design, implement, document, and integrate RESTful APIs.v
  • Review code and ensure compliance with coding standards and engineering best practices.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical and production issues.
  • Improve application performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
  • Write automated tests and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
  • Guide and mentor junior and associate software engineers.
  • Collaborate with designers, product teams, QA engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Estimate development work and support sprint and release planning.
  • Research and recommend suitable technologies, tools, and development practices.
  • Participate in application deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
