About METEOR

METEOR is a Dubai-based creative agency working with clients across real estate, hospitality, lifestyle and F&B. We produce high-quality video content, social media campaigns, photography and design for some of the most exciting brands in the UAE and beyond. We are now building our Sri Lanka production team — a group of talented, AI-empowered creatives who will work alongside our Dubai team to deliver outstanding work at scale.

This is not a remote freelance arrangement. You will be a full METEOR team member, employed under METEOR Sri Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, with a stable salary, structured career progression and direct access to senior creatives in Dubai.

The Role

We are looking for an organised, creative and digitally fluent Social Media Planner to join our Colombo-based team. You will be responsible for building and managing content calendars, writing captions, scheduling posts and supporting the delivery of social media strategy across multiple client accounts. You will work closely with our Dubai-based Social Media Exec, who sets the strategy and maintains the client relationship while you power the production and planning behind the scenes.

This role is ideal for someone who loves social media, understands what makes content perform across different platforms, and can manage multiple accounts simultaneously without things slipping through the cracks.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Building and maintaining monthly content calendars for multiple client accounts
  • Writing engaging, on-brand captions for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and Facebook
  • Scheduling and publishing content using Metricool and other scheduling platforms
  • Using Claude and ChatGPT to draft captions, hashtag strategies and content ideas at speed
  • Using Repurpose.io to reformat and adapt content across multiple platforms efficiently
  • Tracking post performance and compiling basic reporting for the Dubai team's review
  • Coordinating with designers and video editors to ensure assets are delivered on time
  • Flagging comments, messages and community management tasks to the Dubai team

What We Are Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience managing social media accounts professionally
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook algorithms and formats
  • Excellent written English with the ability to adapt tone and voice for different brands
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
  • Comfortable using scheduling and analytics tools
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Desirable

  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or Predis.ai for content creation
  • Familiarity with Metricool, Later, Buffer or similar scheduling platforms
  • Experience working across multiple client accounts in an agency setting
  • Understanding of paid social advertising formats and requirements
