Lecturer (Research Track) - Software Engineering

We are looking for a highly motivated and research-oriented individual to join our team as a Lecturer (Research Track) attached to SLIIT International, Dr. Lester James Peiris Mawatha, Colombo 05.

Lecturer (Research Track)

Applicants must hold a 1st or 2nd class honours four-year bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science and a master's degree at SLQF Level 9 equivalent or above in the required specialization and at least two years of experience in teaching at the undergraduate level or satisfactory industrial experience and evidence of research output.

The work location will be SLIIT International, Dr. Lester James Peiris Mawatha, Colombo.

Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise and the ability to teach modules in:

  • Software Architecture and Design
  • Agile Development Methodologies
  • Mobile and Web Technologies
  • Data Structures and Algorithms Object Oriented Programming
  • Artificial Intelligence for Software Engineering
  • Virtualization and Cloud Computing

The duties of the above position include delivering lectures and facilitating practical sessions in the Software Engineering degree program, assisting in the supervision of undergraduate research projects, collaborating with LJMU, UK and engaging in collaborative research with the guidance of Senior Academics, towards the development of the research and innovation culture of the department.
