The Faculty of Computing of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology is the home of more than 190 academic staff and an ever-growing cohort of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The faculty offers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs and encourages a rich research culture. In addition to bachelor's and course-work based master's programs, the Faculty of Computing offers MPhil and PhD degree programs as well.

Assistant Lecturer (Temporary)

Applicants must hold

  1. a four-year bachelor's degree in Information Technology with 1st or 2nd class honours or
  2. a three-year bachelor's degree in Information Technology with 1st or 2nd class honours and a master's degree at SLQF Level 9 equivalent or above in the required field.

Applicants should have at least one year of teaching experience at the undergraduate level or satisfactory industrial experience and evidence of research output.

Core duties & responsibilities;

  • Engage in undergraduate teaching.
  • Prepare, conduct, and assess undergraduate laboratories and tutorials.
  • Engage in activities organized by the department/Faculty.
  • Conduct research and publish in reputed journals and conferences.
