As a QA Engineer at Haulmatic, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of every shipped product and continuously contributing to customer success by maintaining and improving our quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to understand requirements and define testing scope.
  • Write comprehensive test cases, execute tests, report defects, and manage the full bug life cycle.
  • Track defects and report them in JIRA, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Create and maintain test data and test environments to support functional, regression, and exploratory testing activities.
  • Use risk-based and coverage-based testing techniques to maximise test coverage, focusing on the most critical features and flows.
  • Plan and prioritise your work to meet deadlines and deliver under pressure.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, documentation, and best practices.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience as a QA Engineer in the software industry.
  • Strong experience testing Web applications and mobile applications (Android and iOS).
  • Proficiency in using JIRA (or similar tools) for issue tracking and defect management.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, Agile/Scrum environments with tight delivery timelines.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to testing.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and a strong team player with a growth mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with test automation (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium or similar).
  • Experience in API testing (Postman, REST clients, or automation-based API tests).
  • Familiarity with SQL and basic database validation.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into build pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Experience in performance, load, or security testing tools is an added advantage.
  • Previous experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or fleet management/TMS domains.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g. Testiny, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).
