Associate QA Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Associate QA Engineer to join our Software Engineering team.

Contract Type: 1-Year Contract
Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring software quality across web applications, mobile applications, and API services, while contributing to both manual and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional, integration, and regression test cases
• Develop and maintain automated tests for web, Android, and REST APIs
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira
• Collaborate closely with developers to resolve issues
• Support deployments, smoke testing, and release quality validation

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 1 - 3 years of QA/software testing experience with exposure to automation
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium
• Knowledge of Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with Postman, Newman, or REST Assured
• Familiarity with Jira, TestRail/Zephyr, and Git

Nice to Have

• ISTQB Foundation Level certification
• Android application or connected-device testing experience
• Basic understanding of CI/CD and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI
