SEO & AI Optimization Intern

About the Role

Perpova Developers is looking for an SEO & AI Optimization Intern to help improve the search and AI-search visibility of our company website, product pages (Perpova HRM, Perpova POS, InviteYou.lk), and select client websites. You'll work on both traditional SEO and the emerging discipline of optimizing content for AI-driven search tools (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research and on-page SEO audits for company and product websites
• Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headings, and content structure for search engines
• Research and apply techniques to improve visibility in AI-generated search answers (GEO/AEO practices)
• Monitor site performance using tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics
• Assist with technical SEO tasks (site speed, mobile-friendliness, structured data/schema markup)
• Support content creation and optimization for blogs, landing pages, and product descriptions
• Track competitor SEO strategies and report on industry trends
• Prepare basic performance reports for the team

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Marketing, IT, Communications, or a related field
• Basic understanding of SEO principles (keywords, backlinks, on-page/off-page optimization)
• Interest in how AI tools (LLMs, chatbots) are changing search behavior
• Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or SEO platforms (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Ubersuggest) is a plus
• Good written English and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and experiment with new AI-search optimization techniques
