Technical Support Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing technical issues, supporting clients, and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network-related issues
  • Provide technical support via phone. email, and chat
  • Handle customer inquiries related to system usage and errors
  • Identify root causes and deliver effective solutions
  • Escalate complex issues to internal teams when required
  • Track and manage support tickets through to resolution
  • Assist with account setup, configurations, and onboarding
  • Maintain proper documentation of Issues and solutions
  • Follow up with clients to ensure complete resolution

What We're Looking For

  • Good understanding of
    • Windows/Linux environments
    • Networking basics (IP, DNS, connectivity)
    • Web applications and basic API concepts
  • Familiarity with helpdesk tools (eg. Zendesk or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical issues in a simple manner
  • Customer-oriented mindset and ability to handle multiple tasks

Education & Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification: Higher Diploma in Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • Undergraduates are encouraged to apply
  • A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field will be an added advantage
  • Professional certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Linux, etc.) are a plus

Nice To Have

  • Basic knowledge of Bash or Python
  • Experience supporting API-based systems
  • Exposure to telecom or messaging platforms (SMS gateways, etc.)
