Lakmini International (Pvt) Ltd, a reputed software development and digital solutions company established in 2012, is looking for a detail-oriented and passionate Android Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our growing team.

We specialize in developing high-quality mobile and web applications. As part of our QA team, you will be responsible for ensuring our software products meet the highest quality standards through comprehensive testing, defect identification, and continuous quality improvement.

The primary responsibility of this role is to test Android applications, identify issues, and ensure a high-quality user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Android applications across different devices, Android versions, and screen sizes.
  • Design and execute test cases for new features, bug fixes, and application releases.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs clearly and accurately.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.
  • Work closely with Android developers to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Verify fixes and ensure that existing functionality is not affected by new changes.
  • Use Android debugging and testing tools to investigate application behavior and crashes.
  • Maintain clear QA documentation, test reports, and release checklists.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in QA/testing or Android application development.
  • Good understanding of the Android platform and application lifecycle.
  • Experience testing Android applications on physical devices and/or emulators.
  • Familiarity with ADB (Android Debug Bridge), Android Studio, Logcat, and terminal/command-line tools.
  • Ability to understand Android logs and troubleshoot common application issues.
  • Basic understanding of APIs, HTTP requests, JSON, and client-server communication is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to think of edge cases and unexpected user scenarios.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with developers and other team members.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automated Android testing.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Git, Firebase Crashlytics, or similar debugging/testing tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Kotlin or Java.
  • Experience with CI/CD or mobile application release processes.
  • Experience: 1+ years

Working Details

  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday
  • Working Hours: 9.00 AM – 5.30 PM
  • Location: Pannipitiya, Colombo
