Application Support Engineer – D365 F&O

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer – D365 F&O to provide functional and technical support across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and integrated enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 support for D365 F&O incidents and technical/functional issues
• Troubleshoot, replicate, investigate, and resolve application issues
• Manage incident tickets from triage through resolution and closure
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring and complex issues
• Support configuration changes, small enhancements, and minor development tasks
• Support major incidents and technical recovery activities
• Perform system monitoring and housekeeping activities
• Work with architects and developers to deliver functional solutions
• Support business users with process queries, training, and guidance
• Prepare functional design documents for change requests
• Follow ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Transition
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and third-party vendors
• Mentor and support junior team members

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with ITIL processes, particularly Incident, Problem, and Change Management
• Experience working within or managing outsourced managed service environments
• Strong understanding of business processes and D365 F&O configuration
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong written and spoken English
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Added Advantage:

• Microsoft D365 F&O certifications
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with ITSM tools
• Experience supporting Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, or Retail functions

Location: Sri Lanka
Work Pattern: 24/7 support with participation in an on-call rota
6-month renewable contract based on performance
