Presales Business Analyst

About the Role:

Our company is a bespoke software development company that specializes in providing tailored solutions for a variety of industries. We are seeking a Pre-Sales Business Analyst to help us with pre-sales activities and core business analysis for ongoing projects. The ideal candidate for this role is a versatile professional who is skilled at translating complex business needs into technical specifications, building relationships with clients, and contributing to project execution. This position involves working with prospective clients to create technical proposals and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Sales Support: Work with sales teams to help define customer needs, create solution blueprints, and provide input for proposals. You will engage with clients to craft compelling technical proposals and conduct discovery sessions to define project scope, timelines, and technical requirements.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their business goals, pain points, and technical requirements. Facilitate requirements workshops, interviews, and brainstorming sessions with stakeholders. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Solution Mapping & Documentation: Translate business requirements into functional specifications and map them to the company's products or services. You will also document and maintain clear requirements, user stories, and technical specifications for project teams.
  • Demos and Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations, product demos, or prototypes to showcase how the proposed solution meets the client's needs.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure alignment on client requirements and deliverables. Work with development teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
  • Technical Content Creation: You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining high- quality technical content that supports our sales and marketing efforts. This includes writing detailed case studies that showcase our solutions and their business impact, drafting technical white papers on industry-specific topics, and developing product documentation and knowledge base articles to help both internal teams and clients understand our offerings. The ideal candidate has a strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content for a variety of audiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience Level: 2-years of professional experience.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Business Analysis: Strong ability to analyze business needs, create business process models, and identify potential solutions. Proficiency in creating technical
    documentation (e.g., BRDs, FRDS, user stories, process flows).
  • Solution Design & Requirements Gathering: The ability to design or suggest solutions based on client requirements. Skilled at conducting interviews, workshops, and other activities to gather and document client requirements.
  • Technical Knowledge:A strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
    Tools: Knowledge of project management and requirements management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, or similar. Familiarity with Business Analysis tools for creating process models and diagrams.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience facilitating workshops and presenting to diverse audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with wireframing/prototyping tools like Figma, Balsamiq, or Axure.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA.
  • Experience with UX/UI design principles or user research.
  • Proven experience leveraging Al-powered tools to enhance Business Analysis processes, including the preparation of documentation, creation of wireframes, and development of process flow diagrams.
