About the Opportunity

Kangaro Tech is offering internship opportunities for motivated and detail-oriented individuals who are interested in building their careers in Software Quality Assurance (QA).

We are looking for QA Interns who are responsible, analytical, willing to learn, and interested in gaining practical experience in software testing and professional QA processes.

Selected interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Software Testing, Test Case Preparation, Bug Identification, Bug Reporting, Regression Testing, API Testing, and Quality Assurance processes while working in a professional software development environment.

Key Responsibilities

Understand software requirements and prepare relevant test scenarios and test cases.
Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, UI, and usability testing.
Identify, document, and report software bugs and issues.
Prepare clear and detailed bug reports with proper reproduction steps.
Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing.
Verify application functionality against defined requirements.
Test applications across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
Perform basic API testing and database validation when required.
Collaborate with developers and other team members to investigate and resolve identified issues.
Participate in requirement analysis and QA discussions.
Maintain test cases, test results, and QA documentation.
Assist in improving testing processes and quality standards.
Participate in team meetings and follow the organization's software development workflow.

Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Basic understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Understanding of fundamental software testing concepts.
Good analytical and logical thinking skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Good problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and testing methodologies.
Ability to work responsibly and consistently throughout the 1-year internship.

Technical Knowledge – Advantage

Knowledge or experience in the following areas will be considered an advantage:

Jira or other issue/bug tracking tools
Postman and API testing
SQL and database testing
Git and GitHub
Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or other automation testing tools
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Basic understanding of REST APIs
