Position Overview
We are offering an Unpaid Industrial Training Opportunity for aspiring UI/UX designers. This role is perfect for students or recent graduates who need to complete their mandatory industrial attachment/internship hours as part of their academic curriculum. You will work closely with our senior designers and developers on live projects, contributing to user-centric designs from concept to handoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting user research, competitor analysis, and gathering user requirements.
- Create wireframes, user flows, journey maps, and low-fidelity prototypes.
- Design high-fidelity UI mockups for web and mobile applications using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure design feasibility and pixel-perfect implementation.
- Participate in design critiques and iterate on designs based on feedback.
- Maintain and contribute to the design system and component library.
- Prepare design documentation and handoff files for the development team.
Requirements (Eligibility Criteria)
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Enrollment: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field (proof of enrollment/industrial training letter required).
- Mandatory Requirement: This internship must be recognized/approved by your university as part of your academic curriculum (Industrial Training/Internship credit).
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your design process (research, wireframing, prototyping, and final UI). Academic projects are acceptable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Figma (or Sketch/Adobe XD). Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator) is a plus.
- Mindset: A strong user-centric approach and attention to detail.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and a proactive attitude towards learning.
- Availability: Ability to commit at least 20–30 hours per week for the duration of the training.
