Senior QA Engineer – Automation & Quality Engineering

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join dxdy and help strengthen our Quality Engineering and test automation capabilities across complex, production-grade software projects.

Our teams work across domains including Healthcare, Apparel, Manufacturing, Production Planning, and Digital Platforms, using modern technologies and increasingly AI-enabled engineering practices.

What You’ll Do

• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, system, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Test complex production-grade applications, APIs, integrations, and workflows.
• Contribute to building and evolving our test automation capability and engineering practices.
• Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, Architects, and customers to identify quality risks early.
• Investigate defects and production incidents beyond surface-level symptoms.
• Contribute to improving testability, automation coverage, reliability, and overall delivery quality.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of professional QA / software testing experience.
• Strong experience testing production-level applications and complex business workflows.
• Solid understanding of testing principles, test design, test levels, defect management, and risk-based testing.
• Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and automation engineering concepts.
• Strong understanding of HTML, DOM behaviour, browser rendering, browser DevTools, network requests, and modern web application behaviour.
• Strong API and integration testing knowledge.
• Familiarity with collaboration, test management, source-control, and defect-tracking tools.
• Understanding of UI/UX fundamentals and the ability to evaluate systems from the end-user perspective.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• A growth mindset and willingness to work across teams to improve both product quality and engineering productivity.

Added Advantage

Experience in Healthcare or Apparel, performance testing, distributed systems, CI/CD-based automation, ISTQB certification, or testing AI-enabled applications will be considered an advantage.
