We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Architectural Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading architectural design projects, collaborating closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and delivering creative solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. Duties
- Lead the development of comprehensive architectural designs from conceptualisation through to detailed construction documentation.
- Utilise software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite to produce precise drawings, visualisations, and presentations.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to negotiate project scope, timelines, and budgets effectively.
- Oversee the integration of joinery details and construction elements into design proposals, ensuring feasibility and compliance with building regulations.
- Manage project workflows using project management tools to ensure timely delivery of all design phases.
- Conduct site visits to oversee construction progress and resolve technical or design issues promptly.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in architecture and construction technology to continually enhance design quality and efficiency.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience in architecture or related fields with a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative design solutions.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D (with Grasshopper), ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and CAD programmes.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, joinery techniques, and building regulations.
- Excellent negotiation skills for client interactions and project negotiations.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong organisational skills.
- Knowledge of 3ds Max or similar visualisation tools is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to clients and team members.
- Relevant degree in Architecture or a related discipline; professional accreditation is preferred but not essential.
