Position Overview

We are recruiting a T-shaped, hands-on generalist engineering leader accountable for the client's technical estate. This role is designed for a strong generalist who can self-sufficiently manage reporting, application development, dashboards, and applied Al.

Working Arrangement: Colombo, Sri Lanka (ECL Corporate Office - Colombo 09) | Supporting a UK-based client (Core working hours fully aligned to UK business day GMT/BST

What You Will Do

• Reporting & Data: Own and maintain the client's SQL Server / SSRS reporting estate; partner with core systems (ERP, supply chain) to build a unified data layer.
• Application Development: Design, build, and maintain .NET-based tools, services, and integrations supporting operational workflows.
• Dashboards & BI: Build and maintain Power BI (or similar) dashboards to deliver self-serve visibility and decision- ready visualizations.
• Al & Automation: Identify and implement practical AI/ML use cases (such as anomaly detection, forecasting, and natural-language reporting) and apply Al-assisted tooling to automate workflows

What You Need to Have

• Strong proficiency in SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning) and SSRS report development/administration.
• Robust C#/.NET experience (.NET Core, ASP.NET) to build and maintain tools and integrations independently.
• Written and spoken English, comfortable with daily real-time collaboration with UK stakeholders during UK business hours.
• Exposure to BI tooling (Power BI), Python (pandas, scikit-learn), LLM/OpenAl-style APIs, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), or ERP systems is an added advantage.
