Associate Business Analyst

At Purple, we see the Business Analyst as the bridge between our clients and our internal team. We rely on our BAs to understand client needs deeply, document them accurately, and guide both the client and the team through the entire project journey.

We prioritize the client's experience above all, through proactive, transparent communication while making sure our internal team has the clarity they need to deliver successfully. Our goal is simple: reduce confusion, build trust, and keep projects moving smoothly, with no unnecessary surprises for anyone involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all communication is professional, respectful, and tailored to make clients feel valued and heard.
  • Manage client expectations proactively by keeping them informed of project status, risks, and changes at every stage.
  • Guide clients through the requirements-gathering process, applying business analysis expertise to help shape and refine their needs into actionable project scope.
  • Own end-to-end coordination and documentation of client communication.
  • Plan and organize daily/upcoming work to maintain project momentum, even amid client or internal team unavailability.
  • Lead and prepare for all client-facing meetings, ensuring readiness, clear agendas, and accurate documentation (minutes, summaries) shared for client approval.
  • Present completed work and deliverables to clients at key milestones and upon change request completion, ensuring clarity and alignment rather than relying on clients to self-review.
  • Manage scope throughout the project lifecycle, including identifying and communicating out-of-scope items at project closure to maintain transparency.
  • Handle sensitive client conversations (e.g., delays, issues, regrets) diplomatically, consulting relevant stakeholders beforehand to protect the client relationship.
  • Adapt responsibilities as needed to align with evolving business needs and team structures.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or holds a Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of IT Business Analysis or similar client-facing experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in gathering and documenting client requirements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and handle sensitive conversations professionally.
  • High attention to detail in documentation and scope tracking.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum or similar methodologies.
  • BA certification (CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, PMI-PBA).
  • Familiarity with ClickUp or similar project management tools.
