Associate Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

Supports software quality assurance by designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring applications meet functional and non-functional requirements. Collaborates with developers and stakeholders to improve product quality through bug tracking, test automation, and continuous evaluation of system performance.

Role & Responsibilities

• Develops and executes manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
• Identify defects, create related documentation, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution with development teams.
• Review requirements and design test scenarios to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and release processes.
• Participates in regression, integration, and system testing activities.
• Contributes to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and QA processes.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g.. Java, Python) is an advantage
• Understanding of automation testing tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• 1 year experience in a similar capacity.
• Experience in FinTech domain is an added advantage.
