Associate Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and executing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance support testing to ensure software quality.
• Execute manual testing activities and assist in maintaining automated test scripts where applicable.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and track software defects using defect management tools while working closely with developers to support timely resolution.
• Validate application functionality, APIs, and database changes under the guidance of senior QA team members.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback to improve testability and product quality.
• Support the preparation of test documentation, test reports, and release validation activities.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, testing standards, and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Adhere to organizational QA standards, policies, and best practices.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree or professional qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 year of experience in Software Quality Assurance or software testing. Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects or internships are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Basic knowledge of API testing tools (eg. Postman) and SQL/database validation will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to test automation tools (e.g, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar) is desirable.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).
• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum software development practices is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple assignments.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn and develop a career in Software Quality Assurance.
