Full Stack Developer Intern

About the Role

Avenque is looking for a passionate and motivated Full Stack Developer Intern to join our growing team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students, fresh graduates, and aspiring developers who want to gain hands-on experience by working on real-world web applications for UK and international clients.

As a Full Stack Developer Intern, you will collaborate with experienced developers, designers, and project managers to build scalable, modern, and user-friendly applications while learning industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive, scalable web applications using modern technologies.
  • Build interactive frontend interfaces using Next.js, React.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Develop and maintain backend APIs using Node.js, Express.js, and Next.js API Routes.
  • Design, develop, and manage databases using PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Supabase, or other relational and NoSQL database systems.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization using Supabase Auth, JWT, OAuth, or similar authentication solutions.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
  • Write optimized database queries and ensure efficient data management.
  • Debug, test, and optimize application performance across both frontend and backend.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, team meetings, code reviews, and technical discussions.

Identify bugs, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of existing applications.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with React.js.
  • Basic understanding of Node.js and REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of Git and GitHub.
  • Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
  • Strong willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Next.js.
  • Knowledge of TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS.
  • Experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of Prisma ORM.
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX principles.
  • Experience using VS Code, Postman, and Figma.
