About This Role

BR Lanka is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate Full Stack Developer (Trainee – Internship) to join our growing development team.

This internship is ideal for university students who are eager to gain real-world industry experience by working on live projects while developing practical skills in modern web technologies.

As a trainee, you will collaborate with experienced developers, designers, and project managers, gaining hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development while learning industry standards and best coding practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications
  • Support front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks
  • Assist in back-end development using PHP, Node.js, or similar technologies
  • Work with databases such as MySQL
  • Collaborate with designers to implement UI/UX designs
  • Debug, test, and optimize application performance
  • Assist with deployments, updates, and basic server-side tasks

Requirements

  • Undergraduate in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of front-end and back-end web development
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP or another back-end language
  • Basic understanding of databases such as MySQL
  • Strong willingness to learn new technologies and follow coding best practices
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • A portfolio, GitHub profile, or academic projects will be considered an advantage
  • Candidates residing in or able to commute to Athurugiriya are preferred
