Quality Assurance Engineer

About The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities

These are the responsibilities that we expect you to handle

  • Assist in designing, executing, and maintaining test plans, test cases, and QA processes to ensure software quality throughout development.
  • Perform manual and automated testing of software features, identifying bugs, defects, and performance issues.
  • Document issues clearly with steps to reproduce and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality expectations are met.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of automated testing scripts and frameworks, contributing to efficiency and reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and QA discussions to provide feedback on test ability, design, and potential quality risks.
  • Monitor and report on testing progress, product quality metrics, and areas for improvement to aid data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay updated with emerging QA tools, technologies, and best practices, and contribute ideas to improve QA processes.

Requirements

These are the requirements that we expect from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
  • Understanding QA methodologies, testing processes, and the software development life cycle.
  • Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git) is a plus.
  • Ability to write clear, detailed, and structured test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
  • Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments is preferred.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter or similar tools for conducting load and stress testing.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
  • Experience in regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
