We're Hiring: Spring Boot Intern

EverestX Technologies is looking for a passionate and motivated Java/ Spring Boot Intern to join our software Enginnering team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in backend application development using Java and Spring Boot. You will work alongside experienced developers to build scalable RESTful APIs, integrate databases, and contribute to enterprise-grade applications while learning industry best practices in software engineering.

Requirements

✔ Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
✔ Basic knowledge of Java programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
✔ Understanding of REST APIs and backend development principles
✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills
✔ Eagerness to learn modern software development technologies and frameworks

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs using Spring Boot • Work with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval • Support backend integration with frontend applications and third-party services • Debug, test, and resolve software issues to ensure application reliability • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and development discussions • Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Spring Boot and Spring Framework concepts • Knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL databases • Experience with Git and GitHub version control • Understanding of REST API development and JSON-based communication • Exposure to Maven or Gradle build tools is an advantage
