About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to building scalable, reliable, and production-ready software products.

You will work closely with senior engineers, QA engineers, and product stakeholders to design, develop, test, and continuously improve modern applications and backend services.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Spring Boot
  • Build and enhance frontend applications using Next.js / React
  • Design and consume REST APIs
  • Work with microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Work with messaging systems such as Apache Kafka
  • Design and optimize database queries and data models
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure product quality
  • Debug and resolve production and development issues
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
  • Contribute to improving development, deployment, and engineering practices

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of Java and Spring Boot
  • Good experience with Next.js / React and modern frontend development
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend development
  • Good understanding of Microservices Architecture
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture
  • Good understanding of PostgreSQL / MySQL or other relational databases
  • Understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications
  • Understanding of software development principles, clean code, and design patterns
  • Good understanding of OOP and SOLID principles
  • Ability to understand existing codebases and contribute to production systems
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Knowledge of Redis
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes
  • Experience with automated testing
  • Understanding of system design and scalability
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
