About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to building scalable, reliable, and production-ready software products.
You will work closely with senior engineers, QA engineers, and product stakeholders to design, develop, test, and continuously improve modern applications and backend services.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain backend services using Spring Boot
- Build and enhance frontend applications using Next.js / React
- Design and consume REST APIs
- Work with microservices and event-driven architectures
- Work with messaging systems such as Apache Kafka
- Design and optimize database queries and data models
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure product quality
- Debug and resolve production and development issues
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Contribute to improving development, deployment, and engineering practices
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong understanding of Java and Spring Boot
- Good experience with Next.js / React and modern frontend development
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend development
- Good understanding of Microservices Architecture
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture
- Good understanding of PostgreSQL / MySQL or other relational databases
- Understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications
- Understanding of software development principles, clean code, and design patterns
- Good understanding of OOP and SOLID principles
- Ability to understand existing codebases and contribute to production systems
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with distributed systems
- Knowledge of Redis
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Experience with automated testing
- Understanding of system design and scalability
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
