Role Description

The System Consultant Intern (Finance) will work full-time in a hybrid capacity, primarily based in Colombo, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week.

The intern will work closely with the consultancy team to implement, configure, and maintain Zoho Books and support clients in improving their financial management processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up accounting workflows, managing financial data, configuring system features based on client requirements, and assisting with troubleshooting and user support.

The role also involves using Microsoft Excel for financial data migration and analysis, preparing reports, testing system configurations, documenting processes, and identifying opportunities for improvement. The intern will collaborate with finance and technical teams to deliver effective cloud-based accounting solutions while gaining practical experience in financial system implementation and business consulting.

Qualifications

• Degree or undergraduate qualification in Accountancy, Finance, Financial Management, or a related field.
• Practical knowledge of Zoho Books or familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and basic financial modelling.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-handling skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial information.
• Ability to learn new software tools quickly and apply technical guidance.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance and technical teams in a hybrid environment.
