10x Creative is a fast-growing digital marketing agency based in Sri Lanka, specializing in performance marketing, social media strategy, and high-converting campaign execution for local and international clients. We are expanding our core services to include modern, high-performance web development and custom CMS engineering.

The Role

We are seeking a versatile Full-Stack Web Developer who holds a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology. You will lead our web development division—building custom websites, developing custom WordPress themes/plugins, customizing Shopify Liquid templates, and creating custom-coded web solutions.

Beyond core engineering, you will work closely with agency leadership to establish modern web standards and help guide non-technical team members on technical web concepts, site tracking infrastructure, and conversion optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Custom CMS Engineering: Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch using PHP, HTML5, CSS3/Tailwind, and JavaScript. Customize Shopify themes using Liquid code and custom app integrations.
  • Custom Web Development: Build clean, responsive, and secure custom web components, landing pages, and standalone features using modern front-end/back-end practices.
  • Performance & Speed Optimization: Ensure top-tier Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP), fast server response times, and lightweight code execution across all client sites.
  • Tracking Infrastructure: Implement custom Google Tag Manager (GTM) Data Layers, Meta Conversion API (CAPI) server-side integrations, and web analytics setups.
  • Security & Reliability: Implement robust security measures, sanitization practices, automated backup protocols, and staging environments before pushing live.
  • Technical Collaboration: Guide and mentor agency leadership on technical web architecture, project feasibility, and modern web standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Proven track record building both custom-coded websites and custom CMS solutions (WordPress/Shopify) with live portfolio examples.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Languages: PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, SQL.
    • CMS Mastery: Custom WordPress theme/plugin development, WooCommerce, Shopify Liquid.
    • Tracking & Analytics: Hands-on experience with GTM Data Layer hooks, Meta CAPI, and REST APIs.
    • Tools: Git version control, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Cloudflare, server management, and staging environments.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, clear communication skills, patience when explaining technical workflows, and strict adherence to client project deadlines.
