TX Solutions is a software solutions company focused on AI, automation, ERP, web and mobile applications, serving clients across Sri Lanka and international markets.
We are looking for a motivated QA Intern to join our engineering team and gain hands-on experience testing real-world software products.
Role Overview
As a QA Intern, you will work closely with our developers and project teams to ensure our applications are reliable, user-friendly, and meet expected quality standards.
You will be involved in manual testing, test case creation, bug reporting, regression testing, and basic test automation while gaining exposure to modern software development practices.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute test cases based on requirements and user stories.
- Perform functional, regression, UI/UX, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Test web and mobile applications across different devices and browsers.
- Work closely with developers to investigate and reproduce issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA discussions.
- Maintain test documentation and testing checklists.
- Learn and contribute to automated testing where applicable.
- Help improve the team's overall QA processes and testing practices.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software development and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Good understanding of software testing fundamentals.
- Ability to write clear and structured test cases.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and testing tools.
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of API testing and tools such as Postman.
- Familiarity with Jira, Git, or similar development tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Experience with browser developer tools.
- Basic understanding of automation testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Previous academic or personal projects involving software testing.
