QA Intern

Job Description

NodeZS is looking for a curious, detail-oriented QA Intern who wants to learn how quality is built into software. You'll work remotely from Sri Lanka, learning alongside experienced engineers.

Who we're looking for:

• An undergraduate at a Sri Lankan university in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (final-year students preferred)
• A good understanding of software testing fundamentals, including test cases, bug reporting and the software development life cycle
• A keen eye for UI/UX details and an interest in how real users experience a product
• Basic knowledge of Java or another programming language
• Familiarity with SQL basics and Git/GitHub
• Exposure to Postman for API testing
• Interest in test automation. Any hands-on practice with Selenium, Playwright or JUnit (university or personal projects count) is a plus
• Awareness of agile ways of working
• An analytical mindset and a willingness to dig into why a bug happened, not just that it happened
• Clear communication and a collaborative attitude when working with developers
• Bonus: interest in using AI tools responsibly to learn and work smarter

You're self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to manage your time well while working remotely.
