Senior QA Engineer

Job Description

NodeZS is looking for a Senior QA Engineer who thinks beyond testing and drives quality across the entire development lifecycle. This is a full-time remote role based in Sri Lanka, working with a US-based client.

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of QA experience, with proven strength in UI/UX testing and user-centred quality principles
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Java, JUnit, Jenkins, Git/GitHub, Postman/REST Assured and SQL
• A passion for building quality into every stage of development, not only the testing phase
• Strong strategic thinking, including planning, risk-based decision making, prioritisation and problem solving
• A track record of improving QA processes, strengthening test automation and reducing flaky tests
• Solid root cause analysis skills, with a focus on preventing recurring issues rather than treating symptoms
• Ownership of both functional and non-functional quality outcomes
• Familiarity with modern testing practices and agile environments
• A collaborative mindset: you work closely with developers, keep independent quality standards, and encourage quality ownership across the team
• Clear, confident communication
• Bonus: experience using AI responsibly to improve productivity

You're self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
