Associate Solutions Engineer (Presales)
Job Description
About This Role
We're looking for an Associate Solutions Engineer to join our presales team, the people who sit between our customers and our technology, and make sure both sides understand each other.
This is a customer-facing technical role. You'll spend your time in meetings and demos showing prospective clients what our solutions can do, and at your desk turning customer requirements into clear, compelling written proposals and RFP responses. It's a great first step for a technically-minded graduate who enjoys explaining things as much as building them.
No prior presales experience is required. We'll train you on our products, our methodology, and how enterprise sales cycles actually work.
Your Key Responsibilities
Customer Demos & Meetings
- Prepare and deliver product demonstrations to prospective and existing customers, both online and in person.
- Join discovery calls with the sales team to understand customer requirements, current systems, and pain points.
- Build and maintain demo environments, sample data, and use-case scenarios that reflect real customer situations.
- Translate technical capabilities into business outcomes that non-technical stakeholders can follow.
- Handle technical questions during meetings and follow up on anything that needs deeper investigation.
RFPs & Proposals
- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and tender documents, reading requirements carefully and mapping them to our solutions.
- Draft proposal sections including solution overviews, technical approach, scope, and compliance responses.
- Complete requirement and compliance matrices accurately and on time.
- Maintain and improve our reusable content library of standard answers, boilerplate, and past responses.
- Work with sales, delivery, and technical teams to gather the inputs each response needs, and keep submissions on schedule.
General
- Document customer requirements and share feedback with product and delivery teams.
- Support proof-of-concept and pilot activities alongside senior engineers.
- Keep current on our product portfolio and the broader enterprise software landscape.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong written English - you'll be writing documents that customers use to make buying decisions.
- Confident verbal communication and comfort presenting to a room or a video call.
- Solid understanding of enterprise software concepts: databases, APIs, integrations, and cloud deployment models.
- Attention to detail, particularly around deadlines and requirement compliance.
- Ability to organise your own work across several parallel opportunities.
Nice to Have
- Internship or project experience in a customer-facing, presales, or technical consulting setting.
- Exposure to enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience preparing technical documentation or academic/competition proposals. You'll Do Well Here If You
- Enjoy learning a product deeply and then explaining it simply.
- Stay calm when a customer asks something you don't know the answer to.
- Care about getting a document right, not just getting it submitted.
What We Offer
- Structured onboarding and mentoring from experienced solutions engineers.
- Direct exposure to enterprise customers and senior stakeholders from early on.
- Product and vendor certification support.
- A clear growth path towards Solutions Engineer, Senior Solutions Engineer, and Solutions Architect roles.
- Competitive salary and benefits.
