ABOUT NEXUS GROW

Nexus Grow is a growing digital marketing and creative agency helping Sri Lankan businesses strengthen their online presence through social media management, content creation, digital campaigns, website development and growth-focused marketing solutions.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Web Developer Intern to help create responsive, reliable and user-friendly websites for business and digital marketing requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in developing responsive business websites and landing pages
  • Convert approved UI/UX designs into functional web pages
  • Write clean and organized HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Test websites across desktop, tablet and mobile devices
  • Identify and resolve basic layout, responsiveness and functionality issues
  • Support website performance, accessibility and basic on-page SEO improvements
  • Work with UI/UX designers and other team members throughout the development process
  • Maintain organized project files and use version-control practices where required
  • Assist with website deployment, updates and maintenance
  • Document completed work, technical decisions and known issues

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Web Development or a related field
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first development
  • Familiarity with Git or another version-control system
  • Familiarity with React, WordPress, Webflow, Bootstrap or similar technologies is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of website performance, accessibility and SEO is an advantage
  • Good problem-solving, communication and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and respond professionally to feedback
  • Access to a laptop and reliable internet connection
  • Applicants must currently be based in Sri Lanka
  • A portfolio, GitHub profile or links to completed projects are highly encouraged; university and personal projects are accepted

INTERNSHIP DETAILS

  • Workplace type: Remote
  • Location: Sri Lanka
  • Initial duration: 3 months
  • Possible additional 3-month extension based on performance
  • Candidates must be available for scheduled meetings, progress reviews and project activities within the Monday–Friday business window

COMPENSATION

This is a project-based internship with no fixed monthly salary.

Compensation will be provided for eligible completed projects or assigned deliverables. The exact eligibility criteria, project rates, payment timelines and other conditions will be discussed during the interview and confirmed in writing before the internship begins.
