ABOUT NEXUS GROW

Nexus Grow is a growing digital marketing and creative agency helping Sri Lankan businesses strengthen their online presence through social media management, content creation, digital campaigns, website development and growth-focused marketing solutions.

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented and user-focused UI/UX Designer Intern to support the design of modern, responsive and user-friendly digital experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in designing website interfaces, landing pages and other digital experiences
  • Create user flows, wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes
  • Develop responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile devices
  • Apply visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, colour and accessibility principles
  • Help maintain consistent design systems, components and brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with web developers to ensure designs can be implemented effectively
  • Review completed pages and identify usability or design inconsistencies
  • Participate in feedback sessions and improve designs based on requirements
  • Organize design files, components and project documentation

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • Familiarity with Figma or another interface-design and prototyping tool
  • Basic understanding of user-centred design, responsive design and usability principles
  • Good visual judgement and attention to detail
  • Ability to receive feedback and improve designs
  • Good communication, time-management and teamwork skills
  • Access to a laptop and reliable internet connection
  • Applicants must currently be based in Sri Lanka
  • A portfolio is required; university projects, personal concepts and practice designs are accepted

INTERNSHIP DETAILS

  • Workplace type: Remote
  • Location: Sri Lanka
  • Initial duration: 3 months
  • Possible additional 3-month extension based on performance
  • Candidates must be available for scheduled meetings, feedback sessions and project activities within the Monday–Friday business window

COMPENSATION

This is a project-based internship with no fixed monthly salary.

Compensation will be provided for eligible completed projects or assigned deliverables. The exact eligibility criteria, project rates, payment timelines and other conditions will be discussed during the interview and confirmed in writing before the internship begins.
