Team Leader - IT Operations

Scope of the Role

The Team Leader - IT Operations will be responsible for ensuring the effective and professional delivery of IT system operations services in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and INSEE standards. The role focuses on maintaining reliable, secure, and high-performing IT infrastructure while leading a team to deliver efficient support services. The position requires strong operational leadership, stakeholder coordination, and continuous improvement of IT systems, security, and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely response and resolution of IT incidents and service requests in line with SLAs.
  • Monitor security alerts, logs, and systems to detect and address potential risks proactively.
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and backup systems.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network hardware and software.
  • Monitor network performance and implement upgrades or improvements where necessary.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to ensure IT security and system integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with group IT standards, data protection regulations, and security guidelines.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to address audit findings and compliance gaps.
  • Manage IT contracts and service agreements, ensuring vendor performance and SLA compliance.
  • Coordinate with procurement and finance for IT-related purchases and payments.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing IT operations team to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in IT operations support (servers, networks, backup systems, OT systems).
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management, network and system administration.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001/2 and NIST.
  • Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN, Windows/Linux OS, firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, FortiGate).
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and backup management.
  • Exposure to OT, IoT, or ML technologies will be an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Results-driven with the ability to manage pressure and meet operational targets.
