Assistant Lecturer (Temporary)

The Faculty of Computing of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology is the home of more than 190 academic staff and an ever-growing cohort of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The faculty offers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs and encourages a rich research culture. In addition to bachelor's and course-work based master's programs, the Faculty of Computing offers MPhil and PhD degree programs as well.

Applicants must have a 1st or 2nd class upper honors four-year bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following
areas:

  • Software Engineering
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Machine Learning

Experience in teaching at the undergraduate level or satisfactory industrial experience with evidence of research will be an added qualification.

Core duties & responsibilities:

  • Engage in undergraduate teaching.
  • Prepare, conduct, and assess undergraduate laboratories and tutorials.
  • Engage in activities organized by the department/Faculty.
  • Conduct research and publish in reputed journals and conferences.
