Job Description
We build technology to modernize agriculture, with an established presence in LA. Now we need someone to own the technical direction as we scale.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the technical strategy and architecture decisions across Cresco's product and engineering efforts
- Mentor and guide engineers, setting technical standards and reviewing code and design decisions
- Partner closely with product, design, and leadership to translate business goals into technical execution
- Own delivery timelines, technical risk, and quality across projects
- Support Cresco's Los Angeles expansion by aligning engineering priorities with the new market's needs
- Represent engineering in cross-functional and leadership discussions, including occasional in-person meetings in LA
- Evaluate and introduce tools, frameworks, and best practices that improve team velocity and product quality
What We're Looking For:
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including prior technical leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or
a related field required (Master's degree also welcome) - Strong fundamentals across the stack able to adapt across technologies, not tied to one framework
- Track record of mentoring engineers and driving projects from concept through delivery
- Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment
- Clear communicator, able to work across time zones with a USbased leadership team
- Able to work 9:30 PM – 5:00 AM Sri Lanka time, aligned with Los
Angeles business hours - Experience or strong interest in AI/ML and agri-tech is a plus
- Valid passport and willingness to travel to Los Angeles as needed
Compensation & Benefits:
- $2,400 – $3,200 USD per month, based on experience
- Uncapped performance bonuses
- Fully remote role based in Sri Lanka
- Travel to Los Angeles covered by Cresco when required
