Cybersecurity Engineer

Necurity Solutions Network Security Pvt Ltd, India in partnership with Atherix Digital Solutions, Sri Lanka, we're looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing team in Colombo

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales

  • Assist the sales team in qualifying opportunities and conducting technical discovery sessions with prospects
  • Prepare and deliver product demos, proof-of-concept (PoC) setups, and technical presentations to clients
  • Map client security requirements to appropriate product/service offerings and articulate ROI
  • Collaborate with vendors and OEM partners on technical positioning and deal support

L1 Security Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for client security queries — triage, log, and prioritise incidents via ticketing tools
  • Provide remote troubleshooting for security tools (firewalls, SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, etc.)
  • Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams with detailed technical documentation
  • Maintain SLAs and generate regular support summary reports for clients
  • Assist in onboarding clients onto security platforms and conduct basic user training sessions
  • Monitor client environments for alerts and flag anomalies based on defined thresholds

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a security, IT support, or pre-sales engineering role
  • Prior experience in an MSSP, VAR/reseller, or IT security consulting environment is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Sinhala and/or Tamil language proficiency is an advantage for local client interactions
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills — capable of producing clear technical reports and proposals
