QA Intern
Job Description
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a QA Intern to join our Gloocan team on a one-year internship, contributing to the quality assurance and testing of a software testing platform built around a custom DSL (domain-specific language). This role is well-suited to a candidate who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about software quality.
As a QA Intern, you will work closely with our development team, gaining valuable hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing practices. You will play an important role in helping us maintain a high standard of product quality through thoughtful test design, thorough documentation, and collaborative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and execute test scripts covering real-world application flows
- Design comprehensive test cases, accounting for both expected behavior and edge cases
- Perform automated and manual testing across web-based applications
- Identify, investigate, and help resolve inconsistent or flaky test results
- Prepare clear, well-documented bug reports and collaborate with developers on resolution
- Assist in building and maintaining a reliable regression test suite
- Provide thoughtful feedback to support continuous improvement in product quality and test coverage
Qualifications
- A solid foundation in QA principles, including test case design, bug lifecycle management, and the distinction between regression and smoke testing
- Practical experience with modern web test automation tools
- Hands-on experience writing Playwright test scripts (personal projects, coursework, or internships)
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
- Familiarity with git and basic command-line workflows
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to mobile test automation
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
- An interest in developer tools, testing frameworks, or domain-specific languages
