QA Intern

Job Description

The QA Intern will support the Quality Assurance team in testing web, mobile, POS, online ordering payment, and restaurant management solutions while gaining hands-on experience in software testing, defect reporting, API testing, and QA best practices.

Job related duties and responsibilities:

• Assist in reviewing requirements and preparing test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and usability testing under guidance.
• Test web applications, mobile applications, POS systems, and APIs.
• Identify, document, and report software defects using tools such as Jira.
• Retest resolved defects and support release validation activities.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and support teams to resolve issues.
• Assist with API testing using Postman and basic database validation.
• Prepare and maintain QA documentation and test reports.
• Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and QA process improvement initiatives.

Required qualifications, experience and skills:

• Undergraduate or diploma student pursuing IT, Software Engineering. Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC.
• Familiarity with manual testing and defect reporting.
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs and tools such as Postman is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of SQL and Git is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in an Agile development environment.
