Project Manager (Intern) -Scrum/Kanban

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Project Management & Business Analysis Intern to join our software development team and gain hands-on experience working across business and technical teams.

• Locations: Hybrid (Colombo office + work from home) 
• Must have be reliable internet connection and computer.
• Contract: 6 months (paid internship)

Skills

• Ability to confidently communicate with stakeholders, team members, and clients in English
• Fluent in English - both spoken and written communication is a must
• Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or a related field
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Sprint frameworks
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Proactive attitude and ability to work within cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Assist in requirement gathering sessions and document findings clearly
• Translate business needs into user stories and functional requirement documents
• Support project planning by maintaining timelines and tracking deliverables
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Coordinate communication between developers, designers, and stakeholders
• Maintain and update project management tools such as Jira / Trello
• Assist in preparing project status reports and progress updates
