IT Infrastructure Engineer

Cyrus Information Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. is seeking a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our enterprise Global Team. The ideal candidate should have hands on experience in enterprise server infrastructure, virtualisation technologies, hardware troubleshooting, cloud platforms and basic networking. The candidate should be comfortable working with Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware vSphere and enterprise server environments, with the ability to deploy, manage, maintain and troubleshoot complex IT infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working with enterprise technologies, managing virtualised environments, handling infrastructure projects and supporting mission critical IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, manage and maintain enterprise server infrastructure.
  • Deploy, configure and manage virtualisation platforms, including Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere / ESXi.
  • Manage virtual machines, virtual switches, virtual storage and virtual networking.
  • Perform server hardware installation, configuration, troubleshooting and component replacements.
  • Work with enterprise server platforms, including Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant and Lenovo ThinkSystem.
  • Configure and manage RAID, SAN, NAS and enterprise storage solutions.
  • Perform server firmware upgrades, BIOS updates, patch management and infrastructure lifecycle maintenance.
  • Support virtual machine migration, server consolidation, infrastructure upgrades and data center projects.
  • Assist with cloud infrastructure deployment, administration and troubleshooting.
  • Work with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux server environments.
  • Perform basic network configuration and troubleshooting, including IP addressing, VLANs, Ethernet and network connectivity.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity infrastructure.
  • Conduct infrastructure health checks, preventive maintenance and performance monitoring.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to enterprise customers.
  • Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, cloud and application support engineers to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams and service reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering.
  • Degree, or Diploma in IT, Networking, or a related field.
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server and basic Linux administration.
  • Understanding of server hardware, RAID, SAN, NAS and storage technologies.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLAN, switching and routing).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure / AWS).
  • Ability to work independently and provide on-site and remote technical support.
  • Relevant vendor / principal certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Dell, HPE, Cisco, MIicrosoft or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
