Solution Engineer – Data Communication

Job Description

Huawei is looking for a motivated and technically strong Solution Engineer – Data Communication to support customer and partner solution development across IP Networking and Optical Communication technologies.

The role will focus on designing, presenting, and supporting networking solutions while continuously keeping pace with rapid changes in AI, cloud, and emerging ICT technologies. The successful candidate should be willing to learn how AI is transforming network architecture and customer requirements, and progressively develop the capability to support and position AI-related infrastructure and integrated ICT solutions.

Both fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds and experienced professionals are welcome to apply.

The Role:

• Support solution development across IP Networking, Data Communication, and Optical Communication technologies.
• Work closely with customers, partners, Account Managers, and Business Development teams to understand requirements and develop suitable technical solutions.
• Support network solution design, technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and partner enablement activities.
• Continuously learn and keep up with developments in AI, cloud, networking, and emerging technologies.
• Develop the ability to understand and support AI-related infrastructure and integrated solutions, including how networking and optical technologies support AI workloads and modern data centers.
• Build technical knowledge across Huawei’s broader ICT portfolio and be willing to support solutions beyond the core networking domain when required.
• Support commercial opportunities from solution development through technical engagement and project execution.
• Collaborate with internal technical, sales, product, and delivery teams.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates from reputable universities with First Class or Second Class Upper / equivalent academic performance are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with relevant experience in networking, telecom, ICT infrastructure, or solution engineering are also welcome.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals such as IP, Routing, Switching, Ethernet, WAN, and network architecture.
• Knowledge or exposure to Optical Communication, Transmission, or Optical Networking will be an added advantage.
• Interest in AI, cloud, data center, and emerging ICT technologies will be highly valued.
• Relevant Huawei, Cisco, or other industry certifications will be an advantage.
